Searching for Lunch at Albrook Mall in Panama City, Panama #Panama #Albrookmall #Foodcourts

I have to state that Albrook Mall in Panama City, Panama is enormous.   I read later that it is the largest mall in the Americas.  It is bigger than The Mall of America in Minnesota!  Just shopping was a workout all itself.  I felt I had walked the Boston Marathon!

After walking miles and miles, my sister and I were starving.  But what to eat?  We walked and walked some more and went up and down escalators.  There were so many Food Courts to visit with similar and different selections.  The food choices appeared endless with so many choices  from sit down restaurants, fast food chains, and authentic Spanish food that we could not make up our mind.  We visited each Food Court at least twice viewing the menus and looking at the food being delivered.

We looked and smelled so many foods that my picky sister got angry.  She becomes another person when she is angry like the Incredible Hulk.  She wanted to eat and she wanted to eat now.  So after seeing so many selections some appetizing and others not, we agreed on Suvlas - a Greek restaurant. The place attracted us because the food was fresh, there was no line, and it was well priced for a sandwich, fries, and a beverage.

We were not disappointed.  In fact, my critical sister loved her food especially the different sauces she was able to add to her sandwich.  I liked the idea the food was affordable, delicious, and filling.  We both liked that the service was friendly, fast, and that we were able to get seats right near the restaurant without walking miles carrying our food on trays.  Frankly, I do not think we could of made it much further.

Would I recommend eating Greek food while in the Albrook Mall?  No, I would not.  However, if you walked for miles and have a angry sister by your side, you eat where she wants to eat to keep the peace.  Thankfully. I had great authentic Spanish food through my stay in Panama.

As a side note, we were so tired after walking, eating and getting lost finding our exit out, we paid $1.00 to ride the little travelling train to take us to our exit.  We caught up with my daughter and her friend who also had feet problems from walking.

Great Fun.
