A Go On Girl French Inspired Lunch #GoOnGirlBookClub #TheBookofHarlan #BerniceMcFadden

I love my book club lunch especially when it has a book theme.  This month we read The Book of Harlan by Bernice McFadden.  The host used the French theme from the book as an inspiration to her meal.

The display was as lovely as the delicious food.  The host really embraced the French theme.  She graciously served two types of quiche - the traditional and spinach and artichoke, two types of salmon, chicken meatballs with a sauce, a pasta dish with shrimps, French breads, and lemon petite lemon bars.  To keep us sober, instead of champagne we were served two types of sparkling cider.   There was also mussels which I declined.  It is not one of my favorites.

I ate my fill enjoying every bite.  French cuisine is one of my favorites.  The meal was a perfect match for our book - The Book of Harlan especially since the most eventfully part of the book took place in Paris.  For me, inspirational meals are always the best.  Who could want more than a unforgettable book with an unforgettable meal.  My sister girls rocked both!
