It's Not Lunch It's Business

I arrived at Denny's restaurant ready to meet like minded women and have a decent lunch.  I arrived somewhat late and met roses on all the tables and women talking.  They were women who wanted more out of life.  I felt the energy in the air.  They were excited!  I took a seat and joined the conversation.  The women were on fire.  I followed the lead and introduced myself.  I followed by telling them what was special about me and what was my mission in life.  The rest of the women did the same.  I was with a great group of inspirational women.

As I ordered a turkey club sandwich with fries, the woman leader shared who story.  It was emotional and endearing.  She once had it all - large salary as a real estate agent, attorney husband, a child and on her way to a fabulous life and lifestyle.  It all fell apart.  After the dust settled, all she had left was a child.  She needed to pick herself up and start again.  She went through many trials and tribulations but she found her passion.  She wanted us to do the same. I listened and thought of my life.  I was struggling.  I needed that for my life.  She continued with a movie about how other people empowered themselves to live their dreams.  I wanted to be part of it.

The woman leader had ordered appetizers for all the tables. I happily ate my appetizer.  My sandwich seem to take forever.  Meanwhile, we were asked to plan our dream vacation with cost estimates.  Most of the women picked Hawaii, Alaska, and Dubai.  I selected New Zealand.  The leader took each of our choices and did cost comparisons for five star accommodations.  She asked us to envision ourselves there.  The places were f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s.   But the cost is what floored me.  I had just gotten back from Iceland.  My hotel was good but not great.  However, the cost I paid now seem expensive compared to what I have seen.  I got annoyed.  Within the last six months, I had been on three vacations = Las Vegas, Dubai and Iceland.  I could of saved so much and did much more.

My sandwich arrived and it was good for a Denny's restaurant.  I ate my sandwich but continued to listen.  The women closed their eyes and went to their locations.  I could tell some really thought they were there.  One ordered actually ordered room service!  I kept thinking that I loved travelling and staying in nice hotels or resorts.  It seems as though I could of done it better and cheaper if I just knew what was presented to me today.  The knowledge was so powerful,  I wanted to know more.

I finished my sandwich and inquired how I could learn more.  The leader shared the following website with me - http://www.surge365.com/travelmorenow .    It was made for me.  It was a discount travel club for people like me.   I love to travel and I believe the world is my oyster.  I was not surprised that others felt the same way.   As the majority of the women signed up for our women's retreat in a all inclusive retreat in Jamaica for 5 days for less than $400.00, I thought of my trip to New Zealand.  Could I really get a five star hotel for 7 days for two for less than $1000?  I needed to know more.

I did not order dessert.  I was already stuffed with dreams of adventure.  I left the Denny's ready to start a new chapter in my life.  As I started my car I asked myself, how many people knew this information and did not share with me?
