The Crust Makes a Pizza

Creative me made a homemade pizza Thursday night for lunch on Friday.   I made a whole wheat crust from a package and covered with red peppers, mushrooms, onions, spinach, bacon and loads of cheese.     It looked and smelled delicious.  Skip forward to Friday lunch.

I warmed my delicious pizza in the microwave.  After a minute, my pizza was warm with the cheese melted all over.  I sat down and took a bite.  My wonderful smelling pizza was NOT DELICIOUS!  It was horrible.  The whole wheat crust was chewy and heavy.  The toppings were fine.  But the crust, the crust was terrible.  What to do?  I scrapped off the toppings and threw the crust away.  I ate the toppings without a smile.

Meanwhile my co-workers were laughing and smiling while eating Popeyes chicken. They asked me if I wanted any.   I wanted chicken but just could not accept a wing.  I had bragged about my delicious pizza with all the fresh ingredients .  When they asked what happened to my crust, I told them I decided I did not need the extra calories.  I AM SUCH A LIAR.   I would of ate every crumb of that crust if it had been really delicious.  However, I would never tell them.
