   Our lady's group does lunch/brunch every other month.  All four of us take turns suggesting a restaurant.  The main criteria appears to be bottomless mimosa, bellini, or champagne.  To ensure that we enjoy ourselves, we Lyft or Uber to and from the location.

     This particular Sunday, Smith Commons was selected.  I had heard a lot about the place but had never been.

     I am always the odd one out.  Why I do not know.  The menu was pretty simple but each item had something I just did not like.

     My lovely friends easily from menu meals to their liking - shrimp and grits, chicken sandwich.  As for me, I had to order each item a la carte to be happy.  I order scrambled eggs, bacon, and biscuits.  Simple....but I could not get it in a meal.  I had to share my biscuits with one of my friends because.....surprised ….her meal did not come with bread.

     Our food was good.  But, we had to find something to argue about and it was the drinks.  There was a big discussion about the mimosa versus the bellini.    Two felt the bellini did not have the same frizz as the mimosa and the mimosa gave them a better buzz.  Personally, I had both.  I did not care.  I felt no pain from either.

  

    Fortunately, we managed to call a Lyft.  We all piled in and went back to our meeting spot, took a nap, and went home.  It was a good time.  We are use to being drunk....
