I love going home to stop by old neighborhood haunts from my childhood.  This place, although with a new name and a different menu, used to Patty's Pizza.  It always had a friendly staff and great food.  I am glad to say it still has all the bones from my youth - neighborhood hangout, good food, and friendly staff.

I loved that they offered reasonable priced and large portions luncheon specials.  There was so many, in fact, they I had a hard time choosing.  Should I get linguine with clams and mussels, lasagna, a burger or steak?  After careful consideration, I ordered the Delmonico steak covered with mushrooms and garlic herb butter served with a 'old baked potato".  The steak was delicious but I had to send the potato back.  All meals were served with fresh baked rolls.

This the leftover portion I took home.

If the food was not enough, my sister raved about a dessert we just had to try called "tartufo "which we had to try.

My sister was correct.  The dessert was delicious!   I had never heard of it before.  I had to check it out on Google.

Overall, it was a great lunch.  Not only were the staff friendly but all the customers were warm and cheerful.  I guess you may call this place West Haven, Connecticut's "Cheers".
