Starbucks for Lunch

   I needed to move fast this morning.  I received an early morning call at 7 am and need to get to the work site fast to meet the survey team.  Although I usually make my lunch at night, I was too tired to make it last night.  I had burnt the candle at both ends yesterday;  And my bed had met me at the door. 


   I had little time after taking my shower and getting dressed.  The clock was ticking and traffic may be heavy.   I ran down two flights of stairs and looked into the refrigerator and freezer.  In the refrigerator, I found a prepackaged fruit cup courtesy of Starbucks.  In the freezer, I found a frozen ham and swiss cheese panini sandwich thanks again to Starbucks.  I throw both items in my lunch bag  along with a bottle of water and ran out the door.


   After a grueling morning of being beat down by the surveyors, it was nice to open my lunch bag and enjoy a cool fruit cup while I warmed my ham and swiss panini in the oven.  Later, as I ate my warm sandwich with the cheese oozing over the soft bread, I thought this is a great free lunch.  I mentally thanked my darling daughter who works at Starbucks for saving my lunch from the trash.    It was delicious and greatly appreciated
