The Day After the Super Bowl 2014
We both had the same idea - MJ and I, to bring Super Bowl leftovers for lunch on Monday. That morning I had packed my lunch bag with chicken pot pies and fresh fruit. MJ did me one better. She packed two large bags with two types of chicken wings - fried and barbecue, macaroni salad with tuna and shrimp, chili, and fresh fruit. At the office we enhanced our meal with items that we found that included chips, crackers, cakes, and soda. Our lunch was set.
At 2:00 PM we were ready to eat. However, we had shock. All food had to be served cold or room temperature since someone had blown a circuit in the lunch by attempting to use the microwave and the toaster oven simultaneously We were not deterred. We set our table and laid out our meal minus the pot pies and chili. I really wanted that chili!
We turned on the large screen TV and took off our shoes. We chatted about the disappointing Super bowl the day before. We were both happy we did not bet on that game. The game may have been less than super, but the day after lunch was a kick over the goal post. And as for that chili I missed, MJ gave it to me to take home.
